Here is another swallow tatt which I quickly drew up not long ago. Only thing im unsure about is the top wing. I found the clouds hard to do.

I like it, though I do see what you mean about the top wing. The very top feathers look a touch too long... and perhaps a gradual build of feathers like the bottom wing.

I like the head the way it is... but thats just me.

I do like how youve repeated the style of the clouds in the head...maybe it does just need a little work? The swallow tatt idea is really cool though. Where is it going?

for a minute there i couldn't see it's head and wondered if it had been a neck twisted to the max???? hehe i'm at school now. it's 8.25. i thought school started at 8 so i should be in bed. but i see it now. lovely repeatedness of curvatures

ahhhh.. i like the clouds .. very very funky.. yeah im the same as scott.. not sure bout the head... but it adds to then effect.. so i think you can actually get away with it ..
